Your statutory rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
Try before you pay
Every new installation includes a two-month trial of Lexware Pro with no payment details taken. Nothing is charged until you choose to subscribe, so you can evaluate the product fully before any money changes hands.
Cancelling your subscription
You may cancel at any time, yourself, without contacting us: use the Manage subscription page, sign in with your billing email, and cancel there. The same page lets you update your payment method and download your tax invoices — it is operated by our payment provider, Stripe, and changes take effect in Lexware automatically.
If you prefer, you can instead email support@lexware.ai from the email address used at purchase and we will action the cancellation for you.
However you cancel, it takes effect at the end of your current billing period: your paid features continue until the period you have paid for runs out, and no further amounts are charged.
Your matters are never hostage. Lexware is local-first: your files live on your own machine, not our servers. After cancellation the app continues on the free tier — you can open and read every existing matter and back up your files indefinitely, without paying anything.
Refunds
- Monthly subscriptions. We do not refund the current month on a change of mind — cancellation stops future charges and your access runs to the end of the paid month.
- Annual subscriptions. If you cancel an annual subscription part-way through, we will on request refund the unused whole months on a pro-rata basis, calculated on the amount you actually paid. Ask by email: support@lexware.ai.
- Billing errors. If we charge you incorrectly — a double charge, a charge after cancellation, a wrong amount — we will refund the error in full promptly, without being asked twice.
- Faults. Refunds for service failures are handled under the Australian Consumer Law, not capped by the postures in this section.
Refunds are paid in Australian dollars to the original payment method through Stripe, inclusive of the GST attributable to the refunded amount; where required we will issue an adjusted tax invoice or credit note. Promotional pricing (including launch-window and readership rates) does not change refund treatment: refunds are calculated on what you actually paid.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, nothing stops immediately: Lexware allows a 14-day grace period and will retry. If payment is not made within the grace period, the app moves to the free tier as described above. Your files are unaffected.
